For many people the concept of beauty is based on what they see in magazines or on television. A lot of the time this is not what really is! Use your own inner strength as a beauty guide. Read these tips and remember to use what works for you.
Waterproof mascara, in either black or a dark brown color, can be an attention getting touch with just one or two applications. Use disposable mascara wands for eliminating clumps and extra mascara from the outer edges of the eyes.
An application of white eyeshadow to the area above the middle of your upper lip will make the lips appear larger than they really are. This will give you a highlight so that the light catches it and your upper lip will seem a bit fuller.
Bring a fluffy brush with you to reduce the oil on your face before you go out. Putting just a little bit of shimmery make-up on your cheeks will also subtly enhance the appearance of your cheekbones.
Sharpen your lip liner and eyeliner pencils after each application. This keeps them clean and ready to use. Place the pencils in the freezer or the refrigerator to harden them, and then sharpen.
In order to prevent your hair from graying, consume some curry leaf chutney each day. Only a single teaspoon is necessary. This gives your pigments vitamins and minerals that can help it retain its color and remain healthy. Also try adding some scented rosemary essential oil to your hair, which similarly keeps your scalp and hair healthier and colored.
Replace all your expensive products with natural castile soap, a mild natural toner like vinegar or witch hazel and a soft washcloth. Use aloe vera to moisturize. Your skin will glow and look healthy with these natural beauty products. You can increase the moisture that aloe provides by adding some vitamin E oil. Tea tree oil is a great product to use, too.
Peppermint oil and water can be combined for use as a mouthwash. Use one single drop of oil per every ounce of water. To prepare your mouthwash, boil your water. Measure the oil into a heat-proof container that will hold the amount of water you’re boiling. Pour in the previously boiled water. Use a clean cloth to cover the container, and allow it to cool down completely. Once the mixture is cooled, put it into a bottle and place a lid on it. There you have it, your own, ready to use, bottle of homemade mouthwash.
Wearing sunscreen can help to protect your skin from damage while allowing it to look its best. Some people only use sunscreen when it is summer time, but to have a youthful appearance for years to come, you should wear it even in the winter. The face and hands are particularly vulnerable to skin damage during the winter months.
Do not define what is beautiful by the images you see in the media. Beauty is a personal thing. Apply what you’ve just learned to bring the beauty from within to the surface.
